Alerts cannot be guaranteed to be received because of the potential for an unstable wireless and/or internet network connection. Networks are open to service interruptions and members may move out of service range, which can cause a delay in receiving text messages. Members can check the Alerts sent to them on the ‘Alerts History’ page in Online Banking, which lists all the Alerts sent within the last 30 days.

To stop receiving all Alerts:

1. Log in to WFCU/ECU Online Banking.
2. Select Messages and Alerts from the left-hand Shortcuts navigation bar.
3. Click on Manage Alerts Contacts and Mobile Nicknames and delete your contact details (your mobile phone number or email address) to stop all of your Alerts.

To stop receiving some Alerts:

1. Log in to WFCU/ECU Online Banking.
2. Select Messages and Alerts from the left-hand Shortcuts navigation bar.
3. Click on Manage Alerts and select and delete the specific Alerts you’d like to stop receiving.

To sign up for Alerts, you’ll need to have access to WFCU/ECU Online Banking:

1. Log in to Online Banking.
2. Select Messages and Alerts from the left-hand Shortcuts navigation bar.
3. Select Manage Alerts.
4. Select Manage Alerts Contact(s) and then Add Mobile Phone. After accepting the Alerts Agreement, add a mobile phone number or email address where you would like to receive your Alerts.
5. Select the Alerts you would like to receive.

Members can receive Alerts by both email and text message.

No. You’ll need to re-register your new number, mobile carrier, and/or email address through WFCU/ECU Online Banking.

Specific account number(s) information is not included in an Alert. Two Alerts, however, provide specific information that you will find very convenient.

New Payee Added Alert. In this alert message, the bill payee added appears in the email alert (due to space constraints, text alerts do not note the bill payee name). When you receive the alert you can easily review that the newly added bill payee is correct, without having to log in to Online Banking.

Example scenario: a member adds a Home Depot credit card to Online Banking.
The alert email will read:

Date:  yyyy-mm-dd

Home Depot has been added as a new payee to your account.

Interac e-Transfer^® Recipient Added. In this alert message, the name of the new recipient that has been added appears in the email alert (due to space constraints, text alerts do not note the name of the new recipient). When you receive the alert you can review the Interac e-Transfer recipient to see if the recipient is authorized without having to log in.

Example scenario: a member adds a friend named John Smith as a new Interac e-Transfer recipient.
The alert email will read:

Date:  yyyy-mm-dd

John has been added as a new Interac e-Transfer recipient to your account.

There is no charge to set up an Alert and there is no charge for receiving Alerts by email. When members receive text message Alerts, however, their wireless carrier may charge for receiving text messages. Members are advised to check with their wireless carrier for details.

Alerts allow members to receive notifications about specific banking activities through an email or text message. Alerts are set up and edited in Online Banking. Currently, members can choose from the following four Alerts:

Security Alerts
New Payee Added
Personal Access Code (PAC) Changed
Online Banking Account Locked Out – Incorrect response to Security Question

Balance and Activity Alerts
Interac e-Transfer^® Recipient Added

If you’re a Rogers or Fido customer, you may be asked to subscribe to an email-to-text service to avoid having to text ‘read’ each time you want to view your Alerts on your mobile phone. There may be a fee for this service, so please contact your carrier for more details on their email-to-text plans.

You can verify that the payment has been received by checking your banking statement on the account you used to sign up for direct deposit. Your payment amount will be deposited directly into the account.

You can also confirm that the payment was sent by the CRA by logging into CRA’s My Account.

Fraud prevention: The CRA or your financial institution will never send you an email, text or Interac e-Transfer^® to a link asking for your personal information to receive your benefit payment or refund. These are scams and taxpayers should never respond to these fraudulent communications or click on any of the links provided. If you submit multiple requests to update your direct deposit information, the most recent enrolment you complete will become the account on file with the CRA. Direct deposits will only be made into one account, at one financial institution.

Log in to your WFCU Credit Union online banking, click on Account Services and select Setup CRA Direct Deposit. Once selected, you can access a form which will simply and securely transmit your details to CRA. Don’t have online banking? Call our Member Contact Centre at 519-974-3100 to get set up today.

Once you provide consent for your banking information to be shared with the CRA, your direct deposit information will be updated by WFCU Credit Union the following day. The CRA aims to process your direct deposit enrolment or information updates in one or two business days. Given the current environment, you may experience longer than usual processing times once the CRA receives your information from your financial institution.

If you are fully registered for CRA’s My Account, you can verify your direct deposit information through this online self-service portal.

In order to offer this direct deposit enrolment service, WFCU Credit Union signed an extensive Terms of Use Agreement with the CRA which obliges us to use consent and privacy statements with all our clients who enroll in CRA direct deposit. By acknowledging confirmation and acceptance of these consent and privacy statements you will acknowledge and agree that to facilitate your direct deposit enrolment with the CRA:

• the CRA requires your name, bank account information, date of birth and social insurance number (SIN);

• WFCU Credit Union will provide to the CRA your name and bank account information as set out above, as well as the date of birth and SIN that we have on file for you; and

• once the CRA has completed your direct deposit enrolment, the Receiver General will deposit any amounts to be paid to you by the CRA.

The Government of Canada considers privacy and security of utmost importance in the issuance of payments. Any information you provide to the Government of Canada when you enrol for direct deposit is protected under the Government of Canada Privacy Act and as described in Receiver General Payments (Personal Information Bank PWGSC PCU 712).

WFCU Credit Union will provide to the CRA your name and bank account information, as well as the date of birth and SIN that we have on file for you.

Direct deposit is a secure electronic transfer of funds deposited directly into your account at WFCU Credit Union. Direct deposit replaces the need to issue payments by paper cheque.

You can receive payments such as your income tax refund, benefits and credits such as the Canada child benefit (CCB), the goods and services tax/harmonized sales tax (GST/HST) credit, Canada workers benefit (CWB), and provincial and territorial payments such as the Ontario Trillium Benefit (OTB).

Canadian taxpayers. If an individual has never filed a tax return with the CRA, they are not eligible to sign up for the CRA direct deposit service through their financial institution.

The direct deposit service is strictly for individuals using their SIN to register.

Yes, reservations can be made online or over the phone using your Debit Mastercard. In some cases, the merchant may put a hold on the funds to guarantee the reservation, in which case you must have enough funds in your account to cover the value of the hold.

Yes. As a feature of our Mobile Banking app, Deposit Anywhere™ meets the same high standards as our mobile and online banking services.

When depositing an item, you must enter the dollar value of the cheque prior to taking the photos of the item. The dollar amount that is keyed into the mobile app must match the amount read as part of the photo. If the amount differs, the member will be prompted with an error message that reads: “The amount you have entered and the amount on the cheque do not match. Please confirm or edit the amount.” You cannot submit the deposit if the amounts do not match.

Deposit Anywhere™ is a new feature on our Mobile Banking apps that allows you to deposit cheques, payable in Canadian dollars and drawn at any Canadian financial institution, by taking a photo of them and submitting them anywhere, anytime.

The cheque(s) should be destroyed after 120 business days.

You can deposit cheques payable in Canadian dollars and drawn at any Canadian financial institution. They must be payable to, and endorsed by, the account holder.

Security registration is not available via Mobile Banking for the initial setup of your enhanced login security features. Your mobile device can be registered after you have completed the initial setup on your personal computer. Strong PAC can be set up using your mobile app.

All accounts, single or joint will be asked to select security questions. It is important, therefore, that if you operate a joint account, all account holders need to be aware of the answers to the selected security questions. You can select specific security questions geared for joint account holders.

Yes. You will have to set up both of these features for each individual account you have.

If you have answered your security question incorrectly three times and are locked out, call the Member Contact Centre at 519-974-WFCU (9328). Our Member Contact Centre will verify your identity and unlock you. While you are locked out of Online Banking, you can continue to access your account using ATM and POS transactions.

WFCU Credit Union Online Banking security features are designed to provide further protection for your personal information. We encourage you to set your strong PAC in addition to registering your computer and setting up security questions as soon as you are prompted.

Your security is our priority. WFCU Credit Union makes every attempt to ensure that your personal and financial information is safe and secure.

Once you login to Online Banking, click on the “My Profile” button located on the top menu bar. Then click on “Change Security Questions” button on the left side menu and simply follow the prompts.

If you forget your Personal Access Code (PAC), please visit any of our retail locations and our staff can assist you with this process. For security reasons, your PAC cannot be changed over the telephone.

If you forget the answers to your selected security questions, please call the Member Contact Centre at 519-974-3WFCU (9328).

Registering your computer places a permanent cookie on your computer for identification purposes. This ensures that each time you login to Online Banking you are recognized and will not be asked to answer your security question.

Clearing your computer’s cookies will delete your registration. Online Banking will in turn prompt you to register your computer again.

It is important to register your computer only if you are the owner of the computer (such as a home PC) or its sole user (such as a personal work PC). More than one computer can be registered. Do not register shared computers (for example, shared work computers or computers accessible in public libraries, etc.).

FATCA is the acronym for the Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act, a U.S. law that came into effect in 2010. FATCA is part of the U.S. Internal Revenue Code, the U.S. equivalent of Canada’s Income Tax Act. Under the law, foreign financial institutions, including Canadian credit unions and banks, face a withholding tax of 30% on U.S.-source payments if they don’t report certain information about U.S. account holders to the IRS.

No. To do so would violate Canadian law, such as privacy laws.

The Credit Union does not comply with FATCA, which is a U.S. law. The Credit Union complies with the Income Tax Act, much in the same way that the Credit Union currently complies with other reporting requirements.

Since reporting to the IRS directly would violate Canadian law, the Canadian and U.S. governments entered into an intergovernmental agreement, or IGA for short.

To implement its responsibilities under the IGA, Canada made changes to the Income Tax Act to require Canadian financial institutions to report information about accounts held by U.S. persons to the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA). The CRA is then responsible for sharing this information with the IRS. In return, Canada will receive similar information from the IRS about Canadian account holders at U.S. financial institutions.

If there’s an indication that you qualify as a U.S. person, (e.g., you have a U.S. mailing address), we may ask you to certify in writing that you are or aren’t a U.S. person. We may also ask you for documentation, such as a driver’s licence or passport, to confirm your certification.

If you are a U.S. person, the Credit Union is required to report your account to the CRA if the total balance of all of your accounts at the Credit Union, except registered accounts, exceeds:

• $50,000 USD equivalent for a personal account; or
• $250,000 USD equivalent for a business account (e.g., partnership; corporation; unincorporated association), as of June 30, 2014.

The information included in the report will be your name, address, U.S. taxpayer identification number (e.g., SIN), social insurance or business number, account number, and account balance.

Many Canadians spend months in the U.S. to attend school or to live during the winter, but are not U.S. persons.

If you are not a U.S. citizen (e.g., do not hold a U.S. passport), and are not considered a U.S. resident for tax purposes, the Credit Union will ask you to certify in writing that you aren’t a U.S. person and provide supporting documentation.

The Credit Union cannot help you determine whether you are a U.S. person. If you have doubts, you can contact a qualified professional (e.g., accountant versed in U.S. tax law).

The Credit Union is required by law to ask you for this information. If you refuse to provide some or all of the requested information, the Credit Union may have to report your account to the CRA.

A recipient can decline to deposit the money that is sent to them in an Interac email. The sender will receive notification by email that the money has been declined and the sender can then follow instructions in the email to deposit the money back into their account.

You can cancel an Interac e-Transfer in Online Banking if the recipient has not yet deposited the money. The money will be re-deposited back into your account immediately. Note that the $1.50 service charge cannot be refunded.

Yes. If you receive an Interac e-Transfer, follow the instructions in the email. When you are re-directed to the Certapay site (Certapay processes these transfers for Interac), select Windsor Family Credit Union from the list of credit unions. You will then be prompted to log into Online Banking to answer the security question and choose the account you want to deposit the funds into. Once you have completed these steps, the money will be deposited into your account immediately, without a hold.

Money sent by email must be in Canadian dollars and it must be deposited into a Canadian account. You cannot send money by email to someone who does not have a Canadian account and online banking access at their financial institution.

It can take 30 minutes for an Interac e-Transfer to arrive at a recipient’s email address. The amount of time depends on the recipient’s email system as well. The money is withdrawn from your account immediately.

A fee of $1.50 is withdrawn immediately from your account when you elect to send an Interac e-Transfer. We do not charge a fee to receive an Interac e-Transfer, but other financial institutions may.

Sending money by email is secure. You create a shared security question so that only the recipient can deposit the money. The money never actually travels by email; it’s deposited directly into the recipient’s account after the recipient has ‘unlocked’ the email by answering the security question.

A recipient has 60 days to deposit money that you sent to them by email. During the 60 days, you can send reminder emails to the recipient via Online Banking. If the recipient has not deposited the funds within 60 days, you can cancel the Interac e-Transfer. The funds, as well as the service charge, will be re-deposited into your account. Note that it can take up to seven business days after the 60 day expiry for funds to be re-deposited.

An Interac e-Transfer allows you to send money by email from your WFCU account via Online Banking to any other person who has an email address and an account at a Canadian credit union or bank.

Interac e-Transfer can be used by anyone who uses online banking and can withdraw from an account.

For your protection, limits have been put in place on how much a person can send by Interac e-Transfer.

Investment Shares are not guaranteed by FSRA. As the actual rate of return with Investment Shares cannot be guaranteed, they are ineligible for FSRA coverage.

Yes. Personal members can purchase non-registered Investment Shares singly and/or jointly (maximum of two).

The process is simple. The minimum allowed purchase is 500 Investment Shares, which equates to $500. This can be funded from your WFCU account, including a Tax-Free Savings Account (TFSA), Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP), or Registered Retirement Income Fund (RRIF). You will be given an Offering Statement document which contains all the information needed to make an informed decision about purchasing Investment Shares. Upon completion and submission of the required paperwork, a date of when the Investment Shares will be purchased is provided.

Investment Shares are an excellent, long-term investment option that allows you to directly invest in WFCU Credit Union and earn a premium rate of return.

Investment Shares are ideal if you are seeking a long-term investment to diversify your portfolio. They can produce a premium rate of return, usually exceeding GICs. In fact, compared to five-year GIC investments, WFCU Investment Shares have traditionally provided substantially superior returns.

Investment Shares provide additional capital to WFCU, enabling us to grow and expand our operations. The funds raised through this offering will be used to add to WFCU’s Regulatory Capital, and provide an increased capital base for the credit union’s future growth. Funds raised will enable the credit union to continue offering competitively priced and innovative products/services, so members can conduct all of their financial business with the credit union.

Membership is open to anyone living or working in Ontario.

Any eligible WFCU member is able to purchase Investment Shares. Eligible members include individual members (age 18+), as well as corporations, partnerships, and formal trusts.

No. Once a Me-to-Me Transfer has been submitted it cannot be canceled.

No. Me-to-Me Transfers are limited to accounts held at other Canadian financial institutions (i.e. credit unions and banks) only.

You must operate an account at another Canadian financial institution (i.e. credit union or bank). The other account must be in your name. The account must be in the same currency as the account at WFCU being set up to use Me-to-Me Transfers.

A signed Me-to-Me Transfer Authorization form must be completed in advance of using Me-to-Me Transfers for the first time. Please complete and sign the form by calling our Member Contact Centre at 519-974-3100 or visiting one of our retail locations.

In addition, you must provide a void cheque (or other acceptable proof) for the account at the other financial institution. The void cheque (or other acceptable proof) must reflect the accountholder(s) name(s) and the account details as noted in your Me-to-Me Transfer Authorization form.

Me-to-Me Transfers allows you to self-transfer funds between your WFCU Credit Union account and your accounts held at other Canadian financial institutions simply using our digital banking service.

Me-to-Me Transfers can be set up on your Canadian dollar Eva Account or ALTO Savings account. Me-to-Me Transfers can also be set up on your U.S. personal chequing and savings accounts.

Me-to-Me Transfers can be used to ‘pull’ money into your WFCU Credit Union account in order to:

• Increase the balance of an Eva Account
• Invest in an ALTO Savings account
• Invest in an Optimum GIC
• Receive funds to help share in household expenses
• Receive funds to make a loan or mortgage payment
• Increase the balance of a U.S. account

Transfers that increase your WFCU Credit Union balance are always free.

Me-to-Me Transfers can also be used to ‘push’ money to an account held at another Canadian financial institution (i.e. credit union or bank) in order to:

• Send funds to share in household expenses being paid from that account
• Ensure sufficient funds are on hand to make a loan or mortgage payment from that account

Transfers that decrease your WFCU Credit Union balance may be subject to a transaction fee.

Me-to-Me Transfers are another way for our members to conduct secure and convenient online transactions using our digital banking services.

When using Me-to-Me Transfers, the funds are moved immediately allowing you to gain interest on the funds the same day (some restrictions may apply).

A hold may be placed on the funds by the receiving financial institution. Please check with your receiving financial institution for details relating to their hold period on incoming funds received via Me-to-Me Transfers.

It can take up to five business days to set up Me-to-Me Transfers, from the time we receive your signed Me-to-Me Transfer Authorization form AND the void cheque (or other acceptable proof) for your account held at the other financial institution.

Once set up, our Member Contact Centre will notify you that your account at the other financial institution has been set up and it will appear in your list of external accounts. At that point, you can begin self-transferring funds between your accounts.

Funds that are pulled into your WFCU Credit Union account may be subject to a five calendar day hold to permit time for your other financial institution to authorize the transfer. After five calendar days, the hold is automatically removed.

A hold may be placed on the funds that are pushed to your other financial institution. Please check with your other financial institution for details relating to their hold period on funds received via Me-to-Me Transfers.

In general, funds transferred between your WFCU Credit Union account and accounts held at other credit unions are not subject to a hold (some restrictions may apply).

Before using Me-to-Me Transfers to pull funds from your account held at another financial institution, always ensure that your account balance is sufficient to complete the transfer to avoid having that account overdrawn.

Steps to conduct a Me-to-Me Transfer:

1. Login to WFCU’s Online Banking service by visiting wfcu.ca.
2. Select the Transfer link in the left-hand menu.
3. Enter the Transfer Amount to be transferred.
4. Select an Account from the ‘Transfer From’ field.
5. Select an Account from the ‘Transfer To’ field.
6. Enter an optional comment in the Memorandum field.
7. Ensure that the When to Transfer option is set to “Now” and click the Continue button.

Remember that Me-to-Me Transfers can only be used to move funds between like currencies; Me-to-Me Transfers cannot be used to move funds between Canadian and USD accounts.

• Me-to-Me Transfers can be set up on Canadian dollar Eva Accounts or ALTO Savings accounts.
• Me-to-Me Transfers can be set up on U.S. personal chequing and savings accounts.
• Me-to-Me Transfers are limited to Personal accounts only.
• There are no fees to pull funds into a WFCU Credit Union account.
• EvaSilver accounts are charged a transaction fee of $1.50 to push funds to an account held at another financial institution. EvaGold and EvaDiamond accounts can push funds without a transaction fee.
• ALTO Savings accounts are charged a transaction fee of $1.50 to push funds to an account held at another financial institution.
• U.S. personal chequing and savings accounts are charged a transaction fee of $1.50 to push funds to an account held at another financial institution.

Me-to-Me Transfers can be set up on your Canadian dollar Eva Account or ALTO Savings account.

Me-to-Me Transfers can also be set up on your U.S. personal chequing or personal savings accounts.

Me-to-Me Transfers allow you to self-transfer funds between your WFCU Credit Union account and your accounts held at other Canadian financial institutions simply using our digital banking service.

Me-to-Me Transfers are limited to our Personal accounts only.

Me-to-Me Transfers are not supported for our Commercial and Community accounts at this time. For Commercial and Community accounts looking to move funds to accounts held at other financial institutions, please call our Member Contact Centre at 519-974-3100 or visit one of our retail locations.

To use the WFCU mobile app, you must have Online Banking access. To obtain online banking access, contact our Member Contact Centre at 519-974-3100 or visit a retail location near you.

The WFCU Mobile App uses the same level of security as Online Banking. Your Personal Access Code (PAC) prevents unauthorized access and we advise that you do not save your secure passcode anywhere on your device. As well, all information is transmitted via 128-bit encryption technology as it moves from your device to our systems. We also ensure only minimal personal or banking information is saved and secured on your device when using the QuickView and saved Member Card features.

Your app may not be functional and may contain performance issues. We never recommend modifying your Android phone outside of the manufacturer’s specifications.

Google Play will prevent anyone on an unsupported device to download the app. If you are unable to download our Android Mobile App, you can still bank on the go with our mobile web banking.

Yes the Mobile App is free to download and use. Be aware, however, that your mobile service provider may charge for using data. Please contact them to learn more about using data on your device.

If your device should ever go missing, only the QuickView account balances can be viewed if you have activated this feature. Other transactions on your account can only be accessed if someone knows your PAC. Contact your mobile carrier to have your device deactivated. If you are concerned about your PAC for Online Banking being at risk, contact WFCU to have it changed.

Can I use the app if I am the co-user of a shared or joint account?

Yes. As with Online Banking at wfcu.ca, both you and the member with whom you share the joint account can log into the WFCU Mobile App using the same account number and PAC.

The QuickView feature allows you to quickly see your account balances on the app home screen without having to login. Just swipe the QuickView bar to view the balances of your other accounts. To turn QuickView on or off, go to “Settings” and select “Preferences”. If you are sharing this device, it is best to select “Off” as your preference.

Yes. All the features of WFCU’s Mobile App are available on Android tablets. For an optimum experience, we recommend using the app on your smartphone.

Yes it will work in a foreign country. We recommend you check with your mobile service provider to learn about any roaming fees that may be applied to your data plan. Alternatively, you can also use Wi-Fi for your mobile banking needs.

Typically you should receive a text message response within seconds. As with all text messages, response times may vary depending on your mobile phone carrier and may be slower during peak usage periods.

As a security precaution, WFCU’s Mobile Banking Updates service will be set to disabled status in this scenario. Please send a text keyword command and you will receive instructions that will guide you on how to enable your mobile phone.

Getting started is easy. If you have a mobile phone that supports text messaging and an Online Banking account with WFCU, registering is as simple as 1, 2, 3:

1. Log in to Online Banking; click on ‘My Profile’ on the top menu, then click on ‘Mobile Banking’ on the left menu.

Yes, your personal information is as secure using our Mobile Banking Updates service as it is with Online Banking. As a precaution, we recommend you delete your text messages after receiving balance or account activity to prevent unauthorized viewing.

With Mobile Banking Updates, you can see the account balance and recent transaction history of any account you set up. Just register your mobile phone, and start using the Mobile Banking Updates service today!

There is no cost to use WFCU’s Mobile Banking Updates service at this time. Please check with your mobile carrier for information on any charges for sending and receiving text messages that are applicable to you.

If you have temporarily misplaced your mobile phone (e.g. you left it at work), you can disable Mobile Banking Updates by visiting the Mobile Banking Preferences page within WFCU’s Online Banking. Once you locate your mobile phone, simply go online and enable the feature again.

If you have lost your mobile phone or if it was stolen, please follow your mobile carrier’s recommended procedures for this scenario and contact your mobile carrier immediately. You can further delete your mobile phone completely from Mobile Banking Updates by visiting the Mobile Banking Preferences page within WFCU’s Online Banking.

WFCU’s Mobile Banking Updates service is the ability to do your banking on the fly. Whether you’re shopping at the mall, hanging out at a friend’s place, or eating at your favourite restaurant, with our Mobile Banking Updates, you have access to balances and transaction history right at your fingertips, using text messaging. Just register your mobile phone, and start using this service today!

This service will work on most mobile phones that are less than five years old and support text messaging. However, if you are experiencing problems, please check with your carrier (e.g. Telus, Rogers) for details on fees, accessibility, and delivery time.

This service is designed to work on mobile phones from a Canadian mobile carrier on a Canadian mobile network. However, if your Canadian mobile carrier has a roaming agreement with a foreign carrier, you can expect Mobile Banking Updates to work. However, please note that the service outside of Canada is on a best efforts basis only.

• If you do not already have an account with WFCU, you’ll need to open one. Contact our Member Contact Centre at 519-974-3100 or toll-free at 1-866-500-WFCU (9328).
• If you already have an account and have a Personal Access Code (PAC), you can access Online Banking by:
  • accessing the Online Banking login via the home page of our website at mywfcu.ca; or
  • visiting us at one of our retail locations.

You can view your activity for a specific account or for all accounts for a given period for up to 12 months.

WFCU’s Online Banking services are secure. Encryption is used to ensure that your personal information will not be accessed by an unauthorized party. Data sent from your PC is encrypted, scrambling the information into a format that can be safely transmitted over the Internet. Once the data has been encrypted, it cannot be read until it reaches us and is decrypted, using an encryption key.

Our Online Banking platform requires 128-bit encryption, which is the highest publicly available standard.

If you do not have the minimum 128-bit encryption on your browser software, you will not be able to access Online Banking and your system will generate a warning message.

All of your accounts with WFCU under your account number can be accessed using our Online Banking services. This includes your savings, chequing, CULine line of credit, personal loans, mortgages, term deposits, RRSPs, RRIF and other investments.

There are no fees for our personal members who operate our free Chequing accounts.

For other accounts, there is a flat monthly fee assessed at month-end and a fee of $2.00 at the time of the transaction for bill payments processed through Online Banking.

With WFCU’s Online Banking services, you can do almost anything you can do when you visit us in our retail location. With your account number and Personal Access Code (PAC), you can rest assured that you have confidential, secure access to your accounts.

Through Online Banking, members can easily:

• view transactions, transfer funds, pay bills, order cheques, place a stop payment on a cheque, etc.;
• request statement details for up to 12 months (from current up to 200 items for up to six months);
• download and view your statement with cheque images online;
• view the front and back image of individual cheques which have been presented on your account for the past 90 days;
• conveniently pay one or all of your bills with the suppliers or vendors you have set up through your account. You can decide whether to pay your bills immediately, set them up for scheduled payments at a later date (remembering to allow two business days for the transactions to be processed – this will avoid late fees and ensure that the payment reaches the supplier on the payment due date) or on a recurring basis. Please contact us for a list of suppliers or vendors available for bill payment;
• download WFCU’s Mobile App available for Apple and Android devices; and
• set up Alerts to receive an email or a text message when specific actions occur through Online Banking. Select up to four Alerts, including an Alert when a new bill payee is added, when a Personal Access Code (PAC) is changed, and when an incorrect PAC or incorrect response to a security question is entered at log-in.

As the world of electronic banking becomes more convenient, so does the increase in fraudulent activity. As an added security feature with your WFCU Credit Union online banking account, members can sign up for specific security alerts which notify you by email or text of activity taking place in your account.

Optional account alerts include:

• A new payee has been added to your account
• Your personal access code (PAC) has changed
• Online banking account locked out – incorrect response to security question
• A new INTERAC e-Transfer® recipient has been added to your account
